We have the pleasure to inform you that the planned 5th Conference GEOMETRY AND TOPOLOGY OF MANIFOLDS has met with some interest.

   The list of participants is created automatically on our WWW page. 

   Participants of the conference will be lodged in Hotel ''Baska'' of the University of Mining and Metallurgy. We are going to arrange our lectures in two blocks. The first will include longer plenary lectures, which will take place in the morning. The second one, with shorter lectures will be held in the afternoon. We consider organizing a poster session if necessary. 
   A full day excursion in the mountain is planed. 

   As during the previous meetings, we would like to distribute abstracts of lectures. We kindly ask to send your abstracts in LATEX together with either dvi or ps or pdf file by the 15th April 2003.
   We count on longer ones, even of several pages, or summaries. They will be put on our WWW page. 

   We have arranged that one of the volumes of the electronic journal ''Central European Journal of Mathematics'' will be dedicated to the proceedings of our meeting. 
Prof. Andrzej Bialynicki-Birula is the Editor-in-Chief of the journal.

   Full cost of the conference (accommodation and full board) is 230 US$ (200 US$ for the accompanying persons). The participants are request to pay at the beginning of the conference.

   27th April (Sunday) is planned as the day of arrival. The bus of the Jagiellonian University will leave the Mathematical Institute of UJ (Cracow) about the 3 p.m. The lectures will be held from 28th April to 3th May.

   There is a possibility to reserve a hotel room in Cracow for the nights 26/27 April or 3/4 May. Please inform Robert Wolak (wolak@im.uj.edu.pl) about yours plans as soon as possible.
